Chingola, Zambia – 28th May, 2026; Four players from Nchanga Rugby Club, sponsored by Konkola Copper Mines, have been selected to represent Zambia in the Under 19 President Select Side at the upcoming Cecilia Krige Rugby Festival. The players selected are JobBis Chalubilo, Bwalya Kombe, Cosmas Mulenga, and Cascius Mulukungu.
The Zambia Rugby Union announced the selection, confirming that the players will represent the country at the festival to be held at Martin House, Chisamba, on 29th May 2026.
According to the Zambia Rugby Union, the management of Nchanga Rugby Club has been formally requested to release the four players to fulfil their national team duties and participate in the developmental tournament.
The selected players are expected to report to Diggers Rugby Club today, 28th May 2026, ahead of the festival.
The Zambia Rugby Union General Secretary, Ms. Cecilia Tresha expressed appreciation to Nchanga Rugby Club Management for their continued cooperation and support in the development of rugby and youth talent in Zambia.
Konkola Copper Mines Acting Chief Executive Officer, Malcolm Mewett, congratulated the four players on their achievement:
